hardware encoding vs software encoding

I can't seem to find a definitive answer on this.

For the final render, what results in a better end product, software encoding or hardware encoding? I have a 13900k, 64 GB of RAM and a 1080.

I don't care about speed of render, I just want to know what will look the best.

There is no definitive answer. I mean, at a High enough bitrate and the difference will be imperceptible to human brains.
